UN Approves Palestinian statehood Resolution

On Friday, the United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution, put forward by France and Saudi Arabia, endorsing an “irreversible” pathway toward establishing a Palestinian state.
The measure, titled the “New York Declaration on the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution,” garnered support from 142 nations, with 10 opposing and 12 abstaining.
