Raids Begin On Illegals: What’s The Christian Perspective?
“Dirtbags like this will continue to be removed from our streets,” said Kristi Noem as she helped conducted arrests of illegal aliens in New York City yesterday.
Despite rumors online, the Trump administration is strategically in pursuit of those who have broken U.S. law by entering the country illegally and are targeting those who are the worst of the worst offenders (those with serious criminal charges).
Just now.

If there’s one thing that has been made evident in the first week of this Trump administration it is this – there’s no time to waste.
Just this week, Border Czar Tom Homan began conducting ICE raids to capture dangerous criminals in Chicago, whilst newly dubbed Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem was in New York City arresting murderers and gang members to deport back to their homelands.
The new DHS Secretary is fully kitted out arresting murderers in New York.

In a now deleted post on social media by A-list celebrity Selena Gomez, a crying Gomez laments the raids on “her people.” So what’s the issue? Is Trump really acting the tyrant and going after immigrants to this country?
The answer? No.
Politicians and Hollywood elite want us to believe that deportations are unique to President Trump, but the truth is – they’re not.
Selena Gomez is American.

Her mom is American. Her Mexican father abandoned them. She went from living in this small Texas home to this $5M palace in LA.
She's a billionaire because of America
Yet she does not consider us "her people"

President Bill Clinton deported: 12 million
President George Bush deported: 10 million
President Barak Obama deported: 2.5 million
President Donald Trump deported: 1.5 million
President Joe Biden deported: 500,000 (this data set is still being updated)
Data via: U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). These agencies provide annual reports on immigration enforcement activities, including deportations.
In addition to the political and entertainment figures coming out against President Trump’s deportation plan, leaders in churches have also began denouncing the move with the most notable being Bishop Mariann Budde who openly rebuked Trump to his face whilst presiding over a post inauguration church service.
Regardless of what some may say, whether they be inside or outside the church, we must always try things against the Word of God as that and that alone provides us with the direction that is needed.
Perspective
In Romans 13:1-2, the Apostle Paul writes, “Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.”
As we can see, Christians are called to respect and uphold the laws of the land whilst encouraging us to recognize that earthly authorities are instituted by God to maintain order and justice. *There is an important point here that we would be amiss not to state: if earthly authorities demand you to disobey God, then the believer is to obey God above the authorities.
Deporting those who have broken U.S. law, and also have criminal records to boot, falls in line with honoring the law of the land and ensures that justice is served.
When the law is violated, it is both responsible and righteous to enforce consequences for this comes into alignment with the requirement God has established for the protection of society.
1 Peter 2:13-14 states, “Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human authority: whether to the emperor, as the supreme authority, or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right.”
This passage underscores the biblical principle that civil authorities are put in place to uphold justice—rewarding good behavior and punishing wrongdoing.
Leaders are entrusted with the responsibility to maintain order and righteousness within society. Supporting the concept of deportation for criminal offenders aligns with this principle.
Additionally, Christians are called to act in ways that promote justice and protect the well-being of all people, including vulnerable members of society.
Proverbs 21:15 reminds us, “When justice is done, it brings joy to the righteous but terror to evildoers.”
Good laws which honor the God will ensure that those who break the law will face appropriate consequences and as we can see from Proverbs 21:15, this benefits all in a society.
So as we can see, deportation, in this context, is a tool of justice and accountability which promotes safety in a society. And, therefore, this policy, however controversial it may be in a woke culture, is one that honors the requirements from God of government.
