Chip Gaines’ Defends “Family-Friendly” LGBTQ Film

Shiplap royalty and professing Christians, Chip and Joanna Gaines, have produced a new series on their Magnolia Network called “Back to the Frontier,” a series which proudly features a gay couple with two children they’ve purchased.

In his promotion of the show on X, Chip Gaines received a slew of pushback from fellow believers, the very people who helped support and build the Magnolia brand, opposing the stance Gaines initially took and doubled down on.

In response to the negative reactions he’s received, Chip posted, “Talk, ask [questions,] listen… maybe even learn. Too much to ask of modern American Christian culture. Judge 1st, understand later/never. It’s a sad [Sunday] when ‘non believers’ have never been confronted with hate or vitriol until they are introduced to a modern American Christian.”

“Modern American Christian?” What even is that?

Christianity isn’t a faith that evolves to fit the narrative of the present culture. Why? Because it is founded upon absolute truth and truth cannot be manipulated nor changed.

So-called “modern Christianity” doesn’t exist, and if it did, tolerance would be its main tenant with wokeism as the primary bases of its theology. God’s call to be holy would be ignored and the subject of eternal damnation would be avoided. Some nice Ted Talks would be given in rainbow dressed community centers which once had an empty cross as their symbol but zero transformation or regeneration of the soul would take place.

Thank God this isn’t what Christianity is!

God’s ways and His design for life is perfect, there are no additions, subtractions or alterations that could improve upon His design – this is a reality check for all those who subscribe to the “modern Christianity” belief, a belief which elevates “love” above God when God isn’t just the author of love but the very origination of it!

It’s interesting, many online have pointed to this instance being the capitulation of the Gaines, but this didn’t just happen out of nowhere.

For many ardent followers of their show “Fixer Upper,” the fray began to show back in the Covid era when they started promoting the Covid 19 injections, and then came that little black square. Remember? That black square which stood in solidarity with the outright Marxist group, Black Lives Matter, the same group which stated their intent was to “dismantle the traditional family.”

Tagging on to this, investigative reporter, Megan Basham, unraveled a series of concerning Instagram posts liked and commented on by Joanna Gaines which further point to a shift in their belief system.

The posts in question were posted by an Magnolia employee who professes to be a Christian. The man came out online as “gay” and announced that he would be moving his gay lover into his home to live with him, his wife and his children. To this, Joanna Gaines not only liked the announcement, but replied publicly, “Yes, @billyjackbrawner. You are SO good. We love you :hearts:”

As Conservative commentator, Allie Beth Stuckey, put it, the couple has “exchanged the God of Scripture for the god of self, because you think that you are better and wiser than God is.” And although this story focuses around Chip and Joanna Gaines, it is reflective of where many are in the church in America.
It is expected of the secular world to try and “normalize same-sex couples and families” through entertainment, but followers of Christ? Absolutely not. Endorsing and promoting sin isn’t loving. Normalizing the separation of children from their parents through two gay men purchasing them isn’t “progress” in God’s eyes.

Approving of a “family” structure which demeans and denigrates mother on purpose, as gay unions do, isn’t something to celebrate.

Ultimately, kindness isn’t kind if it’s telling a lie and it looks like the hosts of “Fixer Upper” have some fixing to do.
