Trump Brokers Peace For the World’s First Christian Nation

Dubbed the ‘Peace President,’ Donald Trump held a successful summit between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev that ended one of the world’s longest conflicts.
Trump’s negotiations were an attempt to achieve solutions to the ongoing tensions in the South Caucasus which comes after 35 years of conflict between the two nations, including the 2023 Nagorno-Karabakh ethnic cleansing when over 120,000 ethnic Armenians were expelled from the area by Azeri armed forces.
HISTORIC PEACE DEAL :us:

"For more than 35 years, Armenia & Azerbaijan have fought a bitter conflict that resulted in tremendous suffering... many tried to find a resolution... & they were unsuccessful. With this Accord, we've finally succeeded in making peace." - President Trump pic.twitter.com/G1etilNX8D
Armenia, the world’s first Christian nation, is increasingly encroached upon by its Muslim neighbors, Turkey, Iran, and a more militant Azerbaijan. Whilst the nation has been supported in varying means and ways, it has largely been left to its own devices by past titans such as Russia, now preoccupied with the fighting in Ukraine, leaving Armenia standing at a crossroads.
“This is a Christian nation that’s surrounded by nations that hate it. And as a result, you have a massive ethnic cleansing that’s happened that just didn’t make news in the United States – 120,000 Christians moved out simply because of their faith,” said WallBuilders founder David Barton on a recent CBN News journey to Armenia.
“And so this is a, it’s a big political deal going on, but it just has not made any kind of news in America. And it should. We’ve got brothers and sisters over here we need to be defending. We’ve got free countries over here that love America. We need to be the friend defending. But we’ve also got a historical connection to this country that needs to be known by all Americans.”
During his second term, President Trump has prioritized international peace deals and has been successful thus far in employing his diplomatic skills, having brokered peace between Congo and Rwanda, India and Pakistan, and now seeking to address the instability of this region. The peace deal carries with it the ability to redefine the South Caucasus, bringing stability to a nation that is now being used as a strategic hub of Western values in an authoritarian-controlling region.

A delegation of American faith leaders and philanthropists recently visited Armenia to assess the crisis firsthand. Meeting with displaced families, clergy, and officials, they witnessed the profound loss and resilience of the Armenian people. “We’re here to listen to survivors and stand with them,” said Nadine Maenza of the International Religious Freedom Roundtable.
Armenia’s survival isn’t just a humanitarian issue but a strategic one, and thankfully, the U.S. has made an effort to plug the vacuum caused by Russia’s pullout.
Suzanne Grisham, the executive director of Mercury One Inc., told CBN News, “We need to stand up for the nation. The first Christian nation in the world. And we need to make sure that the Christians’ heritage and their lands that go thousands of years back with cultural heritage sites. We need to make sure that this is preserved and that this stays the light in the region.”
