“The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man who sowed good seed in his field” Matthew 23:13
A keen observer of the Word of God will notice that in many instances God relates His way of doing things to the process of sowing and reaping. The fact is that God always has and He always will operate under the laws of seed-time and harvest.
It shouldn’t go unnoticed that when God first revealed His Son to fallen humanity that He did not refer to Him as “King of kings.” In Genesis 3:15, Jesus is not called, “Lord of Lords” or “The Lamb of God.” He is called a “SEED”. Jesus was first and foremost, God’s seed. “Why?” The answer is very simple. Why does anyone plant a seed? Seed is only planted when you want more of what they have and that’s precisely why God sent His “only” Son.
“I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat is planted in the soil and dies, it remains alone. But its death will produce many new kernels–a plentiful harvest of new lives.” John 12:24 NLT
What do you get when you plant an apple seed? Apples! What do you get when you plant an orange seed? Oranges! What did God get when He planted the seed of His Son in the borrowed tomb of Joseph of Arimathea? The Bible says that Jesus was the “first fruits” and that He was the “first-born” (1 Cor 15:20; Col 1:18) of many brethren!
“Behold what manner of love God has bestowed on us, that we should be called the sons of God” 1 John 3:1
You are a child of God and it’s time you started acting like it. Stop being nervous and intimidated! Greater is He that is in you than he that’s in the world (1 Jn 4:4).
It’s time that you stop being ashamed of who you are! Pick up those divine adoption papers and lay claim to your inheritance. You are a child of God!
