Canadian Father Fined For Protecting Children

Canadian anti-child-mutilation advocate, Chris Elston who’s known as “Billboard Chris,” was surrounded by police, fined $806, and then threatened with arrest in Brisbane, Australia all for the supposed crime of quietly holding a sign saying “children cannot consent to puberty blockers”.
The incident occurred on his first day in Australia, amidst his ongoing legal battle with the eSafety Commissioner over free speech.
Police in Brisbane have used force to remove me from a public street, but declined to press charges.

I don’t think they want an international incident on their hands.

Although initially threatened with arrest, Elston was ultimately fined $806 and not charged. These actions followed a mere accusation by a Brisbane councilman which prompted the authorities to approach Elston and charge him with obstructing public movement, which he claims was fabricated by a bylaw officer.
Elston took to X posting, “All I did, as usual for the past 4.5 years, was stand quietly by myself in the corner of the square, having conversations only with those who approach me.”
“He told me to move and I refused because I know my rights. I’m on a public street and I can have conversations.”
Elston has “already secured lawyers” to address the treatment he received by Brisbane’s police and the bylaw officer.
I was told I was getting arrested and charged today, and I was willing to go through that.

Turns out the Brisbane police were not willing to carry through with their threat. They just forcefully removed me and then released me.

“I could not agree to their terms with a clear conscience,” Elston stated in a video he posted. “I refuse to accept zealous abuse of power by those in authority, simply because I’m peacefully spreading a true message that vulnerable children are being maimed, sterilized, and turned into lifelong pharmaceutical patients.”
“I opted not to violate my integrity, so they physically removed me. I believe they know what they’re doing is wrong, which is why they then opted not to formally arrest and charge me.”
The news that @BillboardChris has been forcibly removed/threatened with arrest for standing quietly to the side of Queen Street Mall, Brisbane is concerning.

Elston’s ongoing legal battle with the eSafety Commissioner over free speech is set to be heard in Melbourne starting March 31.
The case stems from a social media post which criticized the appointment of Teddy Cook, a radical transgender activist, to a World Health Organization panel. Elston called Cook a woman, a stated which aligned with her biology and not her “preferred gender,” this action resulted in Elston’s post being geo-blocked in Australia.

First stop, Brisbane, followed by Canberra, Sydney, and then Melbourne for a 5-day trial against the government, fighting for freedom of speech. So fun!
See you on the streets, and from the witness stand.

In conclusion, pray for justice to be served and for truth to reign supreme in this case.
We know that praying for justice is an act of trusting God’s righteous judgment and seeking His intervention in times of need.
In Psalm 82:3, the Bible urges, “Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed,” reminding us to act and pray for justice on behalf of those who cannot stand up for themselves.
Additionally, in Micah 6:8, we are called to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God: “He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”
Through prayer, we ask God for His mercy and divine wisdom in situations of injustice, and we believe that He will act on behalf of Chris Elston and all the righteous as He upholds that which is true.
