CEO Commits to Rescuing Children Being Trafficked After Board Coup
Robert Unanue, the CEO of Goya Foods, was left in corporate “limbo” after the company’s board held a vote on Unanue’s continued “employment” which resulted in him being forced out of his family’s company.
Despite the heavy blow after 20 years of leading the company, Unanue, an outspoken conservative philanthropist who served as an executive producer of the wildly popular film “Sound Of Freedom” and created the company’s social initiative under the name of “Goya Cares,” stated that he now intends to assist the Trump administration in an effort to end child trafficking.
“The uncertainty at Goya Foods will not deter me from making the world aware of the evils of child trafficking,” Unanue stated.
Unanue says that he “will not rest until the over 325,000 children lost over the last 2 years are recovered,” a heavy task indeed seeing as trafficking in children more than tripled under the previous Biden administration.
Border czar Tom Homan has estimated that there are more than 300,000 children missing, going on to vow locate and rescue them.
“We gotta save these kids, a lot of them are living a life of hell every day,” he says, “We’re gonna find some of them living with pedophiles, living in sex-slavery, some are gonna be dead, but we gotta find these children.”
Unanue confirmed, “As in the past, I will work with the current administration in putting an end to the extremely lucrative but purely evil industry,” adding, “I will not be silenced. I will not give in to those who want me to give up the fight. We cannot remain passive spectators while soulless, despicable animals treat children with callous indifference.”
“In just two years, more than 325,000 children have been lost — these are not just numbers, but our sons and daughters, stolen from their families. I will not stand by while this crisis continues. I will not back down. The fight continues.”
Data from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) transferred more than 448,000 unaccompanied children to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) from the fiscal years 2019 to 2023.
And yet, ICE reported that more than 32,000 of those unaccompanied children failed to show up for their immigration court hearings during that timeframe, a disturbing statistic!
As of May 2024, ICE hadn’t served notices for more than 290,000 unaccompanied children to appear, as a result, these hundreds of thousands of children haven’t had immigration court dates.
Conclusion
In the face of adversity, Robert Unanue’s unwavering commitment to ending child trafficking is a powerful example of faith-driven perseverance.
As a Christian, Unanue’s resolve to take action against such a horrific evil mirrors the biblical call to protect the vulnerable and seek justice for the oppressed as we read in Psalm 82:3, “Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and oppressed.”
By dedicating himself to this mission, Unanue is embodying these principles, refusing to be silenced in the fight against child exploitation. His determination to work with any administration to bring light to this dark issue reflects the belief that no child should suffer in silence, and that we are all called to fight for the dignity and safety of every precious life.
As he continues this vital work, may his example inspire others to join in the battle for justice and mercy, knowing that with God’s strength, we can make a difference in this world.
