IVF Kills More Babies Than Planned Parenthood, USA Subsidizes It - Encounter Today - Blog

President Trump just signed an executive order expanding access to in vitro fertilization (IVF) not a good move for an administration that has been labeled the most “pro-life in American history.”

Infertility is devastating for married couples who desperately want to welcome a baby into their family. Compassion and love is what these couples deserve, however, not at the expense of a child’s right to life and the right to their mother and father.

The Executive Order instructs for the following to be done:

  • Recognize the importance of family formation and that public policy “must make it easier for loving and longing mothers and fathers to have children.”
  • Directs new policy recommendations to reduce IVF costs and protect access.

So what’s wrong with IVF? It victimizes children.

  1. IVF assists in the making of “designer babies” where the majority are genetically screened, sex-selected and graded out of existence.
  2. Only 7% of human embryos created via IVF will result in a live birth. This means that 93% of these children’s lives are frozen indefinitely, miscarried, aborted, thrown in the garbage or donated to scientific research.
  3. Only 20-30% of lab-created babies will be born alive.
  4. “Surplus” embryos are discarded as medical waste, “donated” (aka destroyed) to scientific research or left in freezers. For perspective, in the U.S. today, there are over 1,000,000 embryos on ice!

The Lie of IVF

One of the lies IVF sells couples is that delaying pregnancy is now an option and putting their eggs “on hold” is a viable option, but as we see above, the reality is that only between 20 and 30% of IVF cycles result in a live birth. Women aren’t told this.

Women are led to believe the fertility industry’s PR campaign that they can delay having children until they’re in their late 30s or 40s, after they’ve achieved prestigious career titles and garnered high salaries.

But then, many are faced with the heartbreak of IVF’s false promise and too many stories exist of the sadness and despair couples feel when they can’t get time back.

What IVF Doesn’t Address

IVF fails to address the root cases of the infertility health crisis in America.

Subsidizing this form of so-called “fertility care” is really just a Big Pharma band-aid with a plethora of ethical issues, like the freezing and destruction of millions of embryos.

If we want to Make America Healthy Again, then we should be investing in addressing and helping heal the underlying causes of infertility in this country.

Women need doctors who treat their bodies comprehensively not as broken machines that need to be circumvented with synthetic hormones and lab-created embryos.

Alternatives To IVF?

The alternative to IVF that’s more ethical, more successful and significantly less money? The mainstream media isn’t printing anything about it but we will! It’s called RRM, restorative reproductive medicine.

RRM is a lesser known approach to fertility which focuses on identifying the issues with the body’s reproductive systems and healing and improving them!

Big Fertility doesn’t sell RRM because it’s not the IVF cash cow selling powerful drugs, injections and labs where embryos are created and frozen.

We shouldn’t be funding the promoting IVF, we should be funding and promoting RRM which is comprehensively life affirming.

NaProTechnology is another natural alternative that does exactly what RRM does! This technology doesn’t create “excess” embryos nor does it incentivize an industry that actively victimizes children.

In conclusion…

Every child created out of IVF is a blessing and their life is no less valuable than those created naturally and whilst the desire to support American families and increase fertility rates are good desires to have, this move to incentivize a profit-centered, rights-violating industry by President Trump is the wrong move to make.

Better healthcare, increased research and a commitment to protect the most vulnerable among us is the better move to make.
