Justice For Children Demands Overturning Gay “Marriage”
The Idaho House of Representatives has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn Obergefell vs. Hodges, a landmark case that legalized same-sex unions across the U.S. in 2015.
The love is love community has made significant headway in the past two decades, culminating in the recognition of gay “marriages” by the U.S. government. This group’s agenda hasn’t just had negative impacts on society’s view of marriage, but it has also dramatically harmed the rights of children.
How Overturning This Case Benefits Children
This move by Idaho representatives raises the question, why get rid of gay “marriage?”
Because, everywhere gay “marriage” exists, the rights of children to their biological parents are removed and/or weakened.
At present, no country exists which has legalized same-sex “marriage” and have correspondingly strengthened the relationship of children with their parents.
To put it bluntly, gay “marriage” and the rights of children are completely and utterly incompatible with one another and where same-sex unions exist, there is a threat to the well-being of children.
Here’s a key issue which lay at the heart of how Obergefell vs. Hodges impacts every person in the USA:
When the law views husbands and wives as optional, the role of father and mother becomes optional under the law as well, thus, the redefinition of marriage dramatically impacts parenthood.
And who does this redefinition impact most? Those reliant on adults – children, the most vulnerable members of our society.
Denying children a relationship with their mother and father often results in life-long hurt and heartbreak.
One would think that in a healthy and ever advancing society, more ways of protecting the vulnerable would be established, and yet at our current juncture, we’re actively ridding our societies of such protections!
Marriage, as God designed it, is between one man and one woman. This is why we’ve placed “” around gay “marriage” for these types of unions aren’t recognized by God nor by the believer.
The love is love crowd, however, demands that their definition of marriage be recognized as equal to God’s creation of marriage, which it absolutely cannot.
One part of the marriage covenant is that it is a cord of three strands between God, man and woman and that this union is to be, in part, for the procreation of God’s image bearers! Therefore, marriage is intricately married to parenthood.
With this understanding in mind, we can then clearly see how proponents of gay “marriage” would view biology-based parenthood as discriminatory which stands in complete contradiction to God’s Word and His design for the institution, as well as the flourishing of society!
As a result of ignoring God’s design for marriage and the order of the family unit, same-sex “marriage” advocates have pushed the law to do what biology cannot; legally connect children to both adults, which has brought about the redefinition of parenthood.
The law has been used in countries where same-sex “marriage” is the law of the land to assist in removing children from his/her biological mother and father and giving them over to strangers, biological or otherwise.
How anyone can classify this as “progress” is beyond me.
In addition to the legal redefinition and how that impacts the societal state of the family unit, legalizing same-sex “marriage” has given rise to reproductive technologies which has lead to the commodification of human beings.
Such technologies, most especially surrogacy, shifts laws surrounding parenthood all in the name of “equality.”
Devastating videos have emerged online of vulnerable babies who were born by one woman being purchased by two men, trans, gay or otherwise.
Ensuing debates have followed these videos, sparking conversations on whether these adults should have the right to buy babies and whether these children are being denied their right to their biological mothers and fathers.

These debates are weighty things indeed and hold significant meaning to our society, and here’s why:
In the upcoming years, if the USA overturns this case, these debates will pave the way for our country to have a broader understanding of why such laws shouldn’t just be removed from the books but why they should never take root in our society again.
In conclusion, marriage isn’t solely about adults because it has an immediate impact on the rights and well-being of children and for this reason, governments should have a vested interest in protecting the most vulnerable and promoting the one family form proven to contribute to thriving children!
Ultimately, we must decide as a nation if we really care about the most vulnerable among us, and if we do, then we must demand that our laws reflect as much because at present, they most certainly do not.
