U.S. Rejoins Geneva Consensus, Reaffirming Support for Life, Women and Families
The United States will rejoin the Geneva Consensus Declaration which declares that there is no international “human right” to abortion.
In 2020 under President Trump, the United States was the lead sponsor of the Declaration which promotes the strengthening and optimal health of women and the family unit.

It also calls for comprehensive investing in women’s health and well-being, allows women and girls more opportunities, and protects the family as the fundamental unit of society.
The architect of the Declaration is Valerie Huber, a faithful Christian wife and mother who was tapped by President Trump during his first administration to serve in Health and Human Services (HHS), recognized that this was a God opportunity and she agreed to step into the role.
Thank God she did!
Huber crafted the Declaration to comprehensively support and promote the preborn, women’s health, the family unit and to uphold the sovereign right of nations to govern free from ideological colonialism.

Today, President Trump rejoined the United States to the Geneva Consensus Declaration (GCD). This moment is what the Institute for Women’s Health (IWH) has been advocating for over the past four years!…
In a statement issued by Huber’s organization, The Institute for Women’s Health, she stated: “This decisive action will restore America’s leadership in global health diplomacy, empowering nations to prioritize women’s health over divisive political agendas.”
“By rejoining, President Trump sends a bold message that the United States stands with sovereign nations to defend the real health needs of women against coercive tactics by global power players. This marks the beginning of a renewed effort to advance authentic health care for women, accelerate the GCD’s momentum, and pave the way for a brighter, healthier future for women everywhere.”

This news comes on the heels of Trump’s administration reinstating the Mexico City Policy which prohibits international NGOs that promote or perform abortions from receiving federal funding, as well as signing an executive order which reinforces the Hyde Amendment, which bans federal funding for elective abortions!
All of these actions reverse Biden’s policies which allowed taxpayer dollars to support abortion-related programs at home and abroad.
