Woke & Broke: Disney Pulls “Transgender” Content

The Walt Disney Company has decided to pull a transgender storyline from their upcoming Pixar streaming series “Win or Lose.”

Disney released a statement on the matter saying: “When it comes to animated content for a younger audience, we recognize that many parents would prefer to discuss certain subjects with their children on their own terms and timeline.”

Has Disney finally realized that if you go woke, you go broke?

The storyline was pulled ahead of the 2025 release of the first long-form series, according to PEOPLE, citing reports from The Hollywood Reporter.

A Disney spokesperson confirmed with The Reporter that the story arc was cut from the show, and whilst the character would still make appearances in the series, it no longer has the “few lines of dialogue that referenced gender identity.”

Back in April of 2023, Disney CEO Bob Iger emphasized that the company would focus on entertaining over advancing “any kind of agenda.”

Iger’s distancing from the woke agenda came as a result of fighting a proxy battle with Disney investor Nelson Peltz who questioned Marvel’s “Black Panther” and “The Marvels” due to their choice in casting.

Commenting on the matter with The Financial Times, Peltz stated, “Why do I have to have a Marvel that’s all women? Not that I have anything against women, but why do I have to do that? Why can’t I have Marvels that are both? Why do I need an all-Black cast?”

With long term Disney fans and investors speaking out in outrage over the woke agenda that has infiltrated several forms of entertainment, is Disney turning a new leaf?
