Christian School Targeted, Call To Prayer - Encounter Today - Blog

Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, Wisconsin, was the target of a shooting where a teacher and teenage student were both killed whilst six additional students were hurt.

The shooter was 15-year-old Natalie Lynn Rupnow.

According to investigative reporter Andy Ngo, “She had an extensive online obsession with school shooters and death, particularly the 1999 Columbine High School shooting. Rupnow was a big fan of the KMFDM rock band, which was also referenced by one of the Columbine shooters.”

Madison Police Chief Shon Barnes says the motive is not yet known but the identity of the shooter reveals a disturbing trend: the radicalization of young children.

This devastating pattern of violence amongst young people should shake up the medical and political establishment, most especially in an age with such a heavy emphasis on mental health, but it should also wake up believers to saturate their families, homes and communities in prayer and in reaching out to those around them.

Pray for the families of each of the victims and for the children and staff of Abundant Life Christian School today.
