Abortion Pill Reversal Saved This Baby’s Life!

After taking the abortion pill that would end the life of her child, Mackenna regretted her decision and desperately sought to reverse it. Thankfully, the lifesaving abortion pill reversal treatment helped save the life of her baby girl!
Sharing her story with Alliance Defending Freedom, Mackenna appeared on camera holding her baby girl — a child who narrowly escaped death.
“My story — our story — actually starts in late December 2023, when I had found out that I was pregnant … And I just remember being flooded with an array of emotions, none of which, I’ll be honest, were happy, or joyful, or excited.”
At this point, Mackenna had ordered an abortion pill regimen online which was sent to her home at which point she consumed the first pill.
Chemical abortions involve two drugs, mifepristone and misoprostol. When these pills are taken in succession, they can end a pregnancy.
Mifepristone is first taken as its purpose is to kill the unborn child by blocking progesterone.
After taking this first pill, many women come to regret their decision and, thankfully, there is a window of time between the first and second abortion drugs where the effects of mifepristone can be reversed.
Women who have taken the first pill are prescribed progesterone to try and offset the impact of mifepristone. Research shows that 64-68% of the time these pregnancies can be saved if medicines are administered at the right time.
“Immediately, upon taking it, and in the days leading up, I knew that that was not the right decision for me,” Mackenna said. “I continued to convince myself that it was, that it was the right decision for me, my family.”
Taking the pill “was a major mistake,” Mackenna said.
Rushing to find a remedy to the regime she had initiated, she looked online and found the Abortion Pill Rescue Network which provided “life-saving care” for her daughter.
“They put me in contact with a nurse practitioner Chelsea Mynyk, who prescribed me that progesterone … It’s absolutely because of her and that abortion reversal medication that I got to look at her beautiful face today.”
Seeking to help bring hope to more women who are in a similar situation, Mackenna is speaking out so that they will also know there’s another option that “clearly works.”
Despite the intense scrutiny the abortion pill reversal treatment has received from nay sayers, it does indeed work!
Whilst some are seeking out ways to provide this life saving care to families, states like New York and Colorado are trying to stop abortion pill reversal therapies.
New York Attorney General Letitia James issued a statement saying, “Abortions cannot be reversed,” and that “Any treatments that claim to do so are made without scientific evidence and could be unsafe.”
Earlier this year, crisis pregnancy centers in New York were advertising the abortion pill reversal which caused James to sue the centers.
One of the groups that was in James’s crosshairs was Heartbeat International who launched its own lawsuit against James and secured a preliminary injunction and protection to continue sharing information on abortion pill reversal.
Whilst the enemy seeks to steal, kill and destroy the lives of God’s image bearers, there is an army of believers fighting the enemy’s agenda to snuff out God’s children and to take back territory for the kingdom.
Mackenna’s story and that of her baby girl, is an ashes to rubies testimony that will help to save many other children’s lives!
We thank God that even when there seems to be no way, He always makes a way and thanks to the science that is now available to us, countless lives will be preserved in order to fulfill all that God has called them to!
