Antisemitism Doubles Across Europe

Antisemitism Doubles Across Europe - Encounter Today - Blog

“Burn the Jews,” a group of pro-Hamas protestors prayed outside the Brussels Stock Exchange whilst in Amsterdam, a group affiliated with Hamas were planning to attack Jewish attendees of a soccer match.

Since the October 7th massacre, antisemitic crimes have seen a steep increase with several nations throughout the European Union reporting more than double the crimes this year compared to the previous year.

Regardless of nations working within the EU system and having national laws on the books which condemn antisemitism, some Representatives in these EU nations still take part in anti-Israel protests, such as leaders of Belgium’s major left-wing political parties.

Joël Rubinfeld, president of the Belgian League Against Anti-Semitism, says Brussels now feels like Gaza, with Jews all across Europe questioning if it’s time to leave their countries.

Meanwhile, many Jewish organizations all across Europe have had to bulk up security due to the varacity of threats made against them.

Is this all really due to a “rise in antisemitism?” Or, is it due to the importation of those with antisemitic views?

On the European front, this is the reality. Now, with regards to America, the spread of antisemitic sentiment isn’t caused predominately by the importation of specific Islamist groups but rather, identity politics.

And thus, the question arises, “can we fix the issue of antisemitism?”

Yes, and it’ll come when we realize these two things:

A. Importing those who hate the Jewish people and the Jewish State is directly correlated to the increase in antisemitic crimes being committed all across Europe and, B. that identity politics must die.

Expounding on the latter of these two remedies requires further dissection; once a society says that there are some groups which have under or over representation (many people say that this applies to those in Gaza, Jewish people, those who identify as LGBTQ, etc), that society begins to hone in on the so-called “perpetrators” who have kept these groups from succeeding.

This begins a highly toxic name, shame and blame cycle that not only harms the various groups which have been sectioned off by those proponents of identity politics, but the social cohesion begins to unravel and is, therefore, damaged in the process.

And so, if we want to resolve antisemitism here in America, we must destroy identity politics and only then can we resolve this issue in America.

As for the nations of Europe, they must not only tackle the issue of identity politics but they must also clamp down on the importation of groups who hate God’s chosen people.

Conclusion

As followers of Jesus Christ, we stand with God’s chosen people, understanding that the body of Christ is called to be Israel’s strongest ally amid the emergence of nations and groups and ideologies which possess a demonically driven desire to see the Jewish people eradicated.

The intense focus on and chaos in Israel at this point in time isn’t a coincidence, it is prophetic. Understanding this, we know that the world, in all its turmoil isn’t falling apart but rather, it is falling into place.
