“Christian School Forfeits Game to Honor God”
Stone Ridge Christian High School girls volleyball team to forfeit its game against San Francisco Waldorf as there is a male player named Henry Hanlon who identifies as “trans” on the team.
The Christian school made this decision after consulting with the players, staff and coaches of the team, and ultimately decided not to go forward with the game in order to protect their students.
In the official announcement sent by the school to the families of the players, they also pointed to the Biblical truth that there are but two sexes; male and female, and that “Standing for Biblical truth means more than the outcome of a game.”
“We do not believe sex is changeable and we do not intend to participate in events that send a different message. We also have a duty and responsibility to care for the health and safety of our athletes. So after consulting with our students, coaches, and staff, we have made the difficult decision to forfeit Saturday’s game.”
Advocate for women’s sports, Riley Gaines, posted a video from earlier this year where Hanlon was seen playing basketball in the girls league where he averaged 20 points per game. This is clearly an unfair advantage!

This isn’t the first time Hanlon’s participation in girls sports has prompted a school to forfeit the position they fought for and earned.
Averroes High School which is an Islamic school, also forfeited a match against Waldorf.
Despite the absence of Averroes confirmation that Hanlon’s presence on the court was the reason for their forfeiture, there has been speculation that the team had religious objections with Muslim girls potentially having physical contact with the male player.

Conclusion
This was an opportunity for believers to take a stand and these players chose to stand by their convictions and for this, we thank God.
Holding this line, that biology is God given and should be respected, is worth more than any muddied trophy.
