10 Divine Healing Truths

Healing is ALWAYS God’s will!

We know this to be an absolute truth based upon the many Scriptures that speak of God’s name as Jehovah Rapha to how our God never changes to how He views sickness and disease.

Here are 10 divine truths about healing from the Word of God:

1- God promises protection for our spirits and our bodies when we abide in Him!

“Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul.” 3 John 2

2. Sickness has origins in the demonic.

“how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.” Acts 10:38

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” John 10:10

3. We have God’s promise that our mortal bodies has the life of Jesus in them!

“But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us. We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies.

For we who live are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh.” 2 Corinthians 4:7-11

4. We have been given power to carry healing to our generation, just as we have been given power to be healed!

“And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Mark 16:17-18

“And he called to him his twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every disease and every affliction.” Matthew 10:1

5. God doesn’t afflict His children with sickness and disease to chasten them!

“For the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and chastises every son whom he receives.” It is for discipline that you have to endure. God is treating you as sons. For what son is there whom his father does not discipline? If you are left without discipline, in which all have participated, then you are illegitimate children and not sons.” Matthew 12:6-8

6. Healing is called “mercy” in the New Testament

“And he cried out, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” Luke 18:38

7. Jesus came to do the Father’s will which included healing ALL who were sick, therefore, we know His desire is still to heal!

“For I the Lord do not change; therefore you, O children of Jacob, are not consumed.” Malachi 3:6

“For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me.” John 6:38

8. Jesus views sickness in the body in the same way He views sin in the spirit.

“Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? Never!” 1 Corinthians 6:15

9. Jehovah Rapha, one of the many names of God, reveals He is healer!

““If you will diligently listen to the voice of the Lord your God, and do that which is right in his eyes, and give ear to his commandments and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you that I put on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, your healer.” Exodus 15:26

10. The fall of man brought sickness and disease into this world. The remedy for both is Jesus Christ!

“Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned— for sin indeed was in the world before the law was given, but sin is not counted where there is no law.

Yet death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those whose sinning was not like the transgression of Adam, who was a type of the one who was to come.

But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if many died through one man’s trespass, much more have the grace of God and the free gift by the grace of that one man Jesus Christ abounded for many.

And the free gift is not like the result of that one man’s sin. For the judgment following one trespass brought condemnation, but the free gift following many trespasses brought justification.

For if, because of one man’s trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ.” Romans 5:12-17

The will of God is found in His Word! And God’s Word clearly shows us that His will is for us to walk in divine health and healing.
