FCC Breaks Law to Help George Soros

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) just released the text of its 3-2 decision to approve the purchase of 200+ radio stations by a group that is backed by globalist, George Soros.
The FCC’s decision is unprecedented.
Never before has the FCC voted to approve the transfer of a broadcast license—let alone the transfer of broadcast licenses for over 200 radio stations across more than 40 markets—without following the requirements and procedures codified in federal law.
Not once.
The House Oversight Committee has launched an investigation into the reasons behind the FCC choosing to “Fast Track a George Soros Deal to Obtain a Major Stake in Over 200 Radio Stations.”

What is equally shocking is how the FCC revoked a grant for Elon Musk’s Starlink that would have benefitted 642,925 rural families and chooses to push through an application by a group backed by George Soros.
We smell discrimination.
Federal law requires those with excessive foreign ownership to file a petition for declaratory ruling at the same time that they seek FCC approval for the relevant licenses. This group, however, didn’t feel the need to comply with this legal requirement and others that are involved in the application process.
The following questions were raised by FCC Commissioner, David Carr, on X who issued a dissenting statement regarding the FCC’s approval of the license transfer of Audacy License, LLC:
- Did this group follow the Code of Federal Regulations? No.
- Did they obtain the FCC’s approval for their excessive foreign ownership? No.
- Did the group give Executive Branch agencies the opportunity to consider their application as well as the source and amount of foreign investment? No
This is bizarre to say the least as the Commission has never done this before.
Why is this vote for this specific application to be fast-tracked?
It is more than a little suspect seeing as these groups are seeking to obtain over 200 radio stations within the United States during an election season by a group which is backed by a globalist who has a track record of meddling in our elections.
