Dutch Dissing Globalist Migration Agenda?
In a move reflecting the rising wave of those who love and value their national sovereignty all across Europe, the new Dutch government, led by Geert Wilders’ party, has officially requested an exemption from the European Union (EU) migration obligations.
With migration being one of the most pressing issues across European nations, will most likely place the Dutch people at odds with the globalist entity that is the EU.
Regaining sovereignty over all matters remains at the forefront for the new Dutch government.
“I have just informed the EU Commission that I want a migration opt-out within Europe for the Netherlands. We need to be in charge of our own asylum policy again!” said Dutch Migration Minister Marjolein Faber.
Reducing immigration numbers at a rapid rate for the sake of the nation’s citizens and her economy is of utmost importance.
Recently, Wilders likened the government’s request to a “sort of mini-Nexit,” drawing parallels to the UK’s Brexit movement.
Whilst a departure from the EU is something Wilders would like to see achieved, it is not currently on the government’s agenda.
In a letter to Ylva Johansson, the European Commissioner for Home Affairs, Faber stated that the government needs to “drastically reduce the volume of migration to the Netherlands, in order to continue to fulfil our constitutional duties — providing for public housing, healthcare and education.”

EU spokeswoman Anitta Hipper clarified, “An opt-out is only possible in view of the treaty changes. Important: this is a legal requirement. Also in this context, we do not expect any immediate changes.”
Lawyer Eva Vlaardingerbroek took to X, posting:
“Hate to rain on everyone’s parade here, but the Netherlands *asking* for an opt-out from the EU’s migration policies is a) weak and b) pointless,” she stated. “I don’t think asking the very people who took away your national sovereignty to have your national sovereignty back is a strong position to take.”

If our government was serious they’d issue a #NEXIT and leave the EU. That’s the only REAL way to get our sovereignty back. pic.twitter.com/9BGoqZNTwo
The solution Vlaardingerbroek provided was to simple “say bye to the EU and actually leave! To invoke a “NEXIT” isn’t something the Netherlands would need Brussel’s permission for!”
Despite a victory in last November’s elections by advocating for immediate action on immigration, the letter sent by Faber to the EU was notably measured, stating an opt-out from EU rules would only be possible in the event of treaty amendments—a lengthy and uncertain process.
Thus far, 17,376 people have sought international protection in the Netherlands during the first half of this year, representing around 3% of all applications in Europe with that majority coming from conflict zones such as Syria, Iraq, and Turkey.
The government is set to declare an “asylum crisis” which will pave the way for tougher policies such as restricting visas for family members of granted asylum seekers and expediting the deportation of ineligible migrants.
Citizens in nations who are a part of the EU are demanding control of their borders and for the restoration of their national sovereignty, which would mean (for many countries) exiting the EU.
Conclusion
The nation state was God’s idea, separating groupings of people who would have their own set of values and identities.
The meshing of cultural values as expressed by multiculturalists is nonsensical. One of the easiest ways to understand this is seen in 2 Corinthians 6:14 which discusses how light cannot have fellowship with darkness.
How can a nation with a culture rooted in Judeo Christian worldview live in “coexistence” amongst those who so adamantly hate Christianity?
Impossible.
Thus, the need for the division of nations is necessary for the state of a nation’s families, and as we are bearing witness to in the case of the Netherlands, the state of a nation’s economic wellbeing.
National sovereignty is the authority of nations to govern themselves while being accountable to God.
In Genesis 10, the division of nations and languages at the Tower of Babel illustrates God’s intention for diverse cultures and governments to emerge.
This concept is reinforced in Romans 13:1-2, where Paul instructs believers to submit to governing authorities, asserting that all authority is instituted by God. This implies that nations have the right to exercise sovereignty in accordance with divine order, leading to the establishment of laws and systems that reflect moral and ethical standards rooted in Scripture.
Moreover, the Bible underscores the importance of justice and righteousness in the governance of nations.
In Proverbs 14:34, it states, “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people,” highlighting that true sovereignty is not merely about power but about governing with integrity and moral responsibility.
This biblical perspective on this matter calls for leaders to prioritize the well-being of their citizens and uphold justice, ultimately fostering peace and harmony within the nation.
Understanding this, national sovereignty is thus seen not only as a political reality but as a sacred trust to reflect God’s justice and character on earth.
