Fact Checking Kamala Harris
CLAIM 1: “We have created 16 million new jobs.”
Context is needed as these jobs cannot be claimed as all being “new.”
The Biden administration inherited an America emerging from the C19 “pandemic” which resulted in a 20+ million job loss.
As per the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, Biden’s administration added 15.8 million new jobs when these are really representative of millions of Americans getting back to work.
There are 818K fewer jobs than were thought to exist, says the hard-to-find announcement from the BLS. The biggest reveal of phantom jobs are in professional and business services. https://t.co/CAR4g7JtNW pic.twitter.com/E78pMkyqgm

Additionally, it was just revealed that there were 818,000 fewer jobs than previously reported by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The Bureau issued revised figures for the 12 months through March that point to greater economic fragility under this administration.
CLAIM 2: “Donald Trump intends to cut Social Security and Medicare.”
President Trump has stated several times he would not do this. Trump’s policy platform goes so far as to say a Trump administration would “Fight for and protect Social Security and Medicare with no cuts.” Under a Trump administration, tax on Social Security would end.
On August 5, 2024, President Trump stated: “I will not cut 1 cent from Social Security or Medicare.”
*Note: the Democrat platform calls for the passage of the U.S. Citizenship Act, which would automatically grant citizenship and social security numbers to millions of illegal aliens.
CLAIM 3: “In more than 20 states, there is a Trump abortion ban, many with no exceptions, even for rape and incest… be sure if he were to win, he would sign a national abortion ban.”
After the overturn of Roe v. Wade, legislating on the issue of abortion was given back to the states. This was made possible by President Trump having two pro-Constitution justices placed on the bench.
NBC News: “The Republican Platform no longer calls for a Federal abortion ban and no longer defines marriage between one man and one woman. Is this a sign your father (Donald Trump) is moving to the center?” pic.twitter.com/dt51S2h370

This has led to many in the political sphere pushing the idea that President Trump would usher in a federal abortion ban, however, Trump has clearly stated he would not sign a national abortion ban and this is reflected in the new Republican policy handbook.
CLAIM 4: “Inflation is down under 3%.”
Context is missing from this statement.
When Biden came into the White House, inflation was at 1.4% and has peaked at 9.1%. This is, obviously, significantly higher than when Trump left the White House.
The Democrats kept saying last night, "we don't want to go back!" -- go back to what, 1.4% inflation? $1.50 gasoline? Peace in the Middle East? The most secure border in history?
