Germany Decriminalizes Child P*rn Possession

Germany’s Parliament will soon remove a section from the Criminal Code that made possession of child sexual abuse materials a felony crime.

Minimum sentences for the possession of child pornography will now be reduced and offenses will be downgraded to a mere misdemeanor.

The bill stipulates:

“possession and acquisition should be punishable with a minimum penalty of three months’ imprisonment, and distribution with a minimum penalty of six months’ imprisonment, and distribution with a minimum penalty of six months’ imprisonment. The offenses regulated in Section 184b of the Criminal Code are therefore classified as misdemeanors and not as crimes.”

For three years, possession of child sexual abuse materials has been classified as a felony but no more.

Germany’s Christian Democratic Union and the Christian Social Union of Bavaria issued a statement against the bill stating:

“The distribution, possession and acquisition of child pornography must, in principle, remain classified as crimes.”

“Even if the increase in the penalty range in Section 184b of the Criminal Code in 2020 has led to practical problems in certain cases, a blanket reduction in the penalty range is the wrong solution. A change should be limited to the problem cases and solve them effectively. Scientific findings show that if the penalty framework shifts downwards, the penalties imposed in practice also tend to be lower.”

This bill could be in breach of a European Union directive which classifies any child pornographic materials as a serious criminal offence according to Rainer Becker, chairman of the “German Children’s Aid – The Permanent Children’s Representation.”

We considered presenting you the rationale for the bill first but swiftly decided against this as we believe that it is of more importance for you to bear witness to the devastating reality political policies create.

One of the tell tale signs that this bill wasn’t just made to help those downloading such materials in order to help in the reporting of it (yes, this is one of the justifications for the bill), came in the form of a blog post written by pro-pedophile activist group Krumme-13 or K-13.

This group describes itself as a “self-help” organization for “pedosexuals.”

The group’s founder, Dieter Gieseking, has been repeatedly charged with possession of child pornography.

Gieseking stated online that, “no politician in all factions apologized to the thousands upon thousands of those affected who fell victim” to the 2021 law that made possession of child sexual abuse materials a felony.

Since 1996, Gieseking has been found guilty of crimes against children.

First, he was found to be operating a mail order child sex abuse material service from his van, for this, he only served one year in prison despite being sentenced to eighteen months.

Second to this, he was accused of possession of child sexual abuse materials which he obtained between 1999 and 2001. After his residence was searched, 216 image files of naked children were found. For this crime, Gieseking was sentenced to a mere eight months in prison in 2003.

jugendschutz.net, a federal government organization which was established to protect children online, accused Gieseking of having a link on his website to a child sexual abuse website.

Adding to the list of purely evil actions by this pervert, Gieseking took an interview with Taz Online, where he openly called for the age of consent to be lowered to 12 years of age. He went on to say that sexual interactions between adults and toddlers needed to be “discussed separately.”

“The taboo of pedophilia must finally be broken at all levels of society. If a pedophile can come out without fear of exclusion or even demonization, then this is the best prevention against child abuse.”

“For babies and toddlers and elementary school students, the sexual component in such a ‘relationship’ is problematic. This would have to be discussed separately. From a sexual policy perspective, an age of consent (age of consent) of 12 is appropriate and long overdue in today’s enlightened society. There are boys and girls who take the initiative in a friendly and sexual relationship with a pedosexual. Therefore, there is a need for sexual criminal law reform that does justice to everyone involved.”

Gieseking and his ilk have long lobbied for lowering the age of consent, legalizing child sex abuse materials, whilst his organization campaigns to decriminalize pedophilia.

“Legalizing clearly self-determined sexuality between older people and those under 14 is the best protection against actual sexual violence against children.”

In 2023, Germany’s Parliament accepted a petition from Gieseking which sought to amend Article 6 of the Basic Law.

The amendments state that “children should be viewed as legal subjects with their own rights.”

May we just pause and ask ourselves, why on earth would ANY human being listen to or take ANY cues from quite possibly the most despicable excuse of a “man” who thinks it’s okay to abuse children!

Such individuals in the governmental realm who have been aiding Gieseking in pushing for policy shifts need to be investigated.

Children have “the right to have a say in all matters that affect their emotional, mental and physical well-being,” and “the right to the free development of their personality,” Gieseking asserts in his petition.

Children cannot consent to sex or to taking part in the production of sexual materials, aka, pornography. This is the epitome of abuse and should be prosecuted to the harshest degree.

Conclusion

God takes very seriously the abuse and exploitation of his children. So much so that He has a zero tolerance policy surrounding it!

Jesus says in Matthew 18:
“If anyone causes one of these little ones – those who believe in me – to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea” (Matthew 18:6).

Such a statement, if spoken today, would surely cause an uproar! Most especially in a society like Germany where someone possessing child sex abuse materials doesn’t even serve their full sentence.

Even when the leadership of societies fail the most vulnerable, Jesus reminds us that those who beat children, sexually abuse children, or verbally abuse children will one day face the justice of God.

Such persons will be held accountable, there is no escape for them!

There must be a righteous anger over issues like the one presented to us today, and whilst that anger should never cause us to sin, we have the ability to steer it in the right direction – towards defending the cause of the vulnerable and upholding a righteous standard of justice.
