Planet Fitness Stock Drops After Trans Policy Exposed
After a woman complained that there was a man identifying as a woman in the female locker room of a Planet Fitness, the company swiftly cancelled her membership.
The company’s actions have resulted in a $400 million drop in their market value in the last week.
Planet Fitness’s stock price was trading at a monthly high of $66.92, but after their pro-men in women’s spaces policy was exposed, their stock hit a new low of $56.46 which means their overall valuation dropped from $5.3 billion to $4.9 billion.
When Patricia Silva of Fairbanks, Alaska experienced a man in the women’s locker room, she pulled out her phone and made a Facebook post about the incident at her local Planet Fitness. In the video, Silva stated:
“I just came out of Planet Fitness, and there is a man shaving in the women’s bathroom. I realize he wants to be a woman, he gets to be a woman. I love him in Christ, he’s a spiritual being having a human experience. He doesn’t like his gender, so he wants to be a woman. But I’m not comfortable with him shaving in my bathroom.”
Man canceled his Planet Fitness membership for forcing women to share their locker rooms with men.

An accompanying text post provided further details:
“I went to planet fitness… Walked in the bathroom, and there stands a MAN shaving… I looked at him, said ‘hey’ … he looked up… and I said, “You are a man shaving in the women’s bathroom, and I am not OK with that.”
He replied… “Well, I’m LGB..”
“Whatever that is… nevertheless, I told him “You’re a MAN and you’re invading my space!”
He wanted to argue to justify why he can be there… I walked away…
I stepped out of the locker room and loudly asked the front desk, “Are you aware that there is a MAN shaving in the women’s bathroom… I’m not OK with that” The two men standing at the desk, put their heads down, and their tails between their legs! As I was walking out the door…at my back, a woman shouts “It’s a girl”… I shouted back “It’s a man!”
Woman in Planet Fitness claims she went into the bathroom and this man who thinks he’s a woman was in there shaving.

Why does @PlanetFitness allow men to use the women’s bathroom and invade women’s private spaces?? pic.twitter.com/qVJ0YUFQvc
The posts, which include a picture of the man, went viral on social media.
Silva received a call from gym employees after posting the video. She says the employees were “announcing that they have chosen to cancel my membership rather than protect youth girls and women 12 years and older that enter the women’s locker room from men with a penis.”
According to Silva, employees argued that taking photos or videos of customers is prohibited, and as such, they had the right to revoke Silva’s membership.
As a result, several people online started calls for a boycott of the company. Regardless of this new campaign to protect women’s spaces, Planet Fitness reasserted its commitment to “inclusion.” Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of Planet Fitness, McCall Gosselin, stated:
“As the home of the Judgement Free Zone, Planet Fitness is committed to creating an inclusive environment … Our gender identity non-discrimination policy states that members and guests may use the gym facilities that best align with their sincere, self-reported gender identity. The member who posted on social media violated our mobile device policy that prohibits taking photos of individuals in the locker room, which resulted in their membership being terminated.”
Although gym policy allows customers to use the locker room best suited to their “gender identity,” in a statement released by their leadership, they emphasized this is not an invitation for anyone to enter any locker room they desire. The statement read:
“If it is confirmed that a member is acting in bad faith and improperly asserts a gender identity, they may be asked to leave and their membership may be terminated.”
Libs of TikTok, a popular account on X called into Planet Fitness after the whole debacle inquiring about their bathroom policy only to discover that they’re instructing employees to lie to customers and say this story is fake!
“We released not 1 but 2 photos of this man in the women’s bathroom. Their own policies even allow it! Why is Planet Fitness lying to their customers?” their post read.
BREAKING: MASSIVE COVERUP AT PLANET FITNESS. We called Planet Fitness to ask about their bathroom policy and discovered that they’re instructing employees to lie to customers and say that the whole story is fake!

The fact that the company has been so heavily impacted by membership cancellations is astounding. We often see so much of the crazy that ensues in society that we can sometimes feel like collective sanity and common sense has all but dissolved but this story proves there are people who are willing to not only make their voices heard at the ballot box but are willing to take a stand by refusing to endorse agendas with their wallets.
