Tucker Carlson Faces Sanctions For Putin Interview
Tucker Carlson’s interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin has placed him in the cross hairs of a highly controversial war, and as such, is now the subject of targeted attacks by lawmakers in the European Union.

This week, the conservative pundit traveled to Russia where he revealed he would be conducting an interview with Russia’s President. Whilst many are eagerly anticipating the interview and other political talk show hosts have signaled their support, EU politicians are furious that this American journalist would dare to do…journalism.
The EU is considering sanctions against @TuckerCarlson for interviewing Putin. This is little more than an admission that they have been lying about everything regarding Ukraine.

The narrative is about to fully collapse & they are terrified.
God bless Tucker & free speech. :us:
Former Belgian prime minister and current member of the European Parliament, Guy Verhofstadt, has called upon the EU to explore the possibility of imposing a “travel ban” on Carlson.
But for what, doing his job? Is the EU really that opposed to journalism or are they complicit in something that they don’t want Putin to share with the multiplied millions of Carlson’s followers?
“Most Americans have no idea why Putin invaded Ukraine or what his goals are now,” Carlson said in his statement on X which has garnered 99.3 million views. “We are not here because we love Vladimir Putin….We are not encouraging you to agree with what Putin may say in this interview, but we are urging you to watch it. You should know as much as you can.”
In addition to Carlson’s “crime” of doing his job, Verhofstadt labeled Carlson as being “a mouthpiece” for President Putin and President Trump, “As Putin is a war criminal and the EU sanctions all who assist him in that effort, it seems logical that the External Action Service examine his case as well.”
“He is no longer a newsman, but a propagandist for the most heinous regime on European soil and the one which is most dangerous to our peace and security,” Luis Garicano, a former MEP, told Newsweek.
Although we don’t know the topics to be discussed in Carlson’s interview with Putin, we do know that Members of the EU Parliament don’t possess the power to impose sanctions. If EU politicians credibly pursue sanctions, they would have to establish a credible link between Russia’s government and/or their aggression and Carlson which would be incredibly difficult to provide proof of.
“His position is different from the others,” Peskov said of Carlson on Wednesday. “It is in no way pro-Russian, it is not pro-Ukrainian, it is pro-American, but at least it contrasts with the position of the traditional Anglo-Saxon media,” said the Kremlin’s spokesperson Dmitry Peskov who confirmed that the interview had already been conducted.
“Americans have a right to know all they can about a war they’re implicated in and we have the right to tell them about it,” Carlson said in his statement on X.
