HUGE Victory For Election Integrity
A Georgia court has ruled that True the Vote’s challenge of the eligibility of voters ahead of the 2021 Senate runoff elections, didn’t violate the Voting Rights Act.
True the Vote has brought up multiple legal cases which suggest some 364,000 Georgia voters “appeared to be ineligible to vote due to change in residency.” True the Vote founder Catherine Engelbrecht called this legal victory a “resounding vindication” against “lawfare.”

Fair Fight, the group which brought the case against True the Vote, says that it seeks to combat “voter suppression, particularly of voters of color and young voters.” Fair Fight also supported by none other than failed gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams.
Fair Fight Action, which was founded by Abrams, said True the Vote’s challenging the eligibility of the hundreds of thousands of Georgia State voters before the 2021 runoffs violated the Voting Rights Act. These very runoffs resulted in Democrats gaining control of the Senate.
In his ruling, Judge Steve Jones, of the U.S. district court for the northern district of Georgia, concluded Fair Fight failed to show True the Vote’s actions were illegal under Section 11(b) of the Voting Rights Act which outlaws any bid to “intimidate, threaten, or coerce, or attempt to intimidate” voters.
Judge Jones also criticized True the Vote, claiming the list of voters they challenged “utterly lacked reliability” and that they were responsible for “facilitating a mass number of seemingly frivolous challenges.”
This ruling has national implications as there are a substantial number of election integrity cases in the courts. One of which stems from President Trump who claims the 2020 election was stolen from him and the American people. Trump has consistently held the position of frontrunner in the 2024 Republican presidential nomination.
This case is of great significance, most especially because Democrats obtained Georgia’s two Senate seats which got President Biden a slim majority.
Reacting to the verdict on X, Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene replied: “Big victory!”

Catherine Engelbrecht of True the Vote stated, “This entire ordeal started because American voters want trustworthy elections, starting with accurate voter rolls. The state of Georgia only conducts its review of its voter rolls in the first six months of every odd year. That’s outrageously insufficient.”
“As a consequence, tens of thousands of voters are ineligible, yet still actively voting. Many states have similarly substandard processes. Citizens must engage, as we did and will continue to do, to bring improvements to electoral processes.”
