Ohio Governor Complicit in Child Mutilation

Ohio’s Republican Governor Mike DeWine has vetoed a measure that would have protected children from mutilating surgeries and prohibited biological males from participating in girls’ and women’s sports.

This is the same Governor who belongs to a conservative party but his actions reveal he doesn’t believe in conserving anything but wokeism as seen in his decision to break from the ranks of both common sense and his party. This is a disgrace.

Thankfully, Ohio’s GOP lawmakers have enough seats to override Gov. DeWine’s veto. If and when that may happen is still unclear as members of his party have not been in unity over several measures that have come before them for some time.

The somewhat pathetic excuse given by Gov. DeWine to justify his decision was that he spoke with families, lawmakers, and physicians who provide so-called “gender-affirming care” which is a nicer way of describing the brutal treatment children are put under when going through the “transition” process.

Several States have banned the mutilating surgeries to which he commented, “Other states have dealt with this issue as well, but ultimately, my decision will be based on one thing – and that is what I think is in the best interest of the children that will be impacted by this law.”

The law could have stopped doctors and hospitals from prescribing children so-called “gender-affirming” drugs and banned radical surgeries from being performed on children whilst an additional portion of the bill would have prevented males from merely identifying as girls from participating in women’s and girl’s sports in all of Ohio.

“Parents don’t have a right to abuse their children. This is no different from any form of abuse,” Chloe Cole, a destransitioner said on “Fox & Friends Weekend.” “This is the sterilization and mutilation of thousands of children happening within a state that is being entirely complicit in the choice to continue this.”

Dewine bought into the lie of the transgender cult and the physicians that are funded by it to promote fearmongering that children will commit suicide if they aren’t able to “transition”. “What we have found is there needs to be a process,” DeWine said, “Ultimately, my decision here was protecting life, the life of these children.”

Based upon the multiple testimonies from detransitioners, we know that the majority of children who have been confused about their gender don’t contemplate taking their life until they’ve gone through the “transition” process of taking puberty blockers and/or having their healthy body parts removed or utterly mutilated.

As of January 2024, 22 states have either banned transgender surgeries for children whilst others have implemented some level of prohibition.

Perspective

It doesn’t matter if one calls themselves a conservative, libertarian or liberal, protecting children is common sense. We must refuse the idea that protecting children from irreversible medical procedures is a “conservative” stance to take.

God is not the author of confusion. He is perfect in all his ways which includes in how he created you and me, therefore, we can say in truth that no child is ever created in the “wrong body” and requires alteration.

Luke 17:2 says, “It would be better to be thrown into the sea with a millstone hung around your neck than to cause one of these little ones to fall into sin.” There will be a day when those intentionally putting children in harm’s way will face the ramifications of their actions.

We know that “An honest answer is like a kiss on the lips” (Proverbs 24:26) Truth is what is loving and it penetrates the hearts of man. Promoting a lie and helping others to live in one is cruel.

There is no love in refusing to speak or act based upon the truth whether that be from the pulpit, in government or in the home. Refusing to stand up for the vulnerable, which are the children of Ohio in this case, is a violation of that which God has called us to do as shown to us in Proverbs 31:8-10 which says we are to “Speak out on behalf of the voiceless, and for the rights of all who are vulnerable. Speak out in order to judge with righteousness and to defend the needy and the poor.”
