About Encounter Ministries

A Place to be Challenged...

Are you ready to be challenged to do the impossible with God? At Encounter Ministries, you’ll be challenged to grow in faith, advance in prayer, and develop a relationship with the Holy Spirit through what we call, “Radical Discipleship.” Discipleship isn't always easy, always comfortable, or always convenient; however, it is always crucial to growth in the body of Christ.

One thing that sets Encounter Ministries apart is our love for training believers to be victorious followers of Christ and effective witnesses for the Kingdom of God. Encounter Ministries will help you walk in your calling and develop your gifts through a challenging, Biblical approach to discipleship. Matthew 19:26 says, “With God all things are possible" (KJV).

A Place to be changed...

Are you ready to be transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit? At Encounter Ministries, we believe that only an Encounter with Christ can change a person’s life. That’s why we’ve dedicated ourselves to creating an atmosphere consistently conducive to the presence of God. Some churches are “seeker-sensitive” but we are “Spirit-sensitive.”

Our vision is for you and your family to have a life changing experience every time we gather together through powerful preaching, practical teaching, and prevailing prayer. Second Corinthians 3:18 says, “We all...are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord” (KJV).

What We Believe

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.  - 2 Timothy 3:16-17

We believe in one God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Creator of all things.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the first begotten Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, was born of the Virgin Mary, was crucified and died, was buried and resurrected, ascended into heaven, is now seated at the right hand of God the Father, and is both true God and true man.
We believe the Bible in its entirety to be the inspired Word of God and the infallible rule of faith and conduct.
We believe in the resurrection of the dead, the eternal happiness of the saved, and the eternal punishment of the lost.
We believe in personal salvation of believers through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.
We believe in sanctification through the Word of God and by the Holy Spirit, and we believe in personal holiness, purity of heart, and life.
We believe in divine healing and prosperity through faith in the Name of Jesus Christ and obedience to His Word. These benefits are included in and are a part of our Redemption.
We believe in water baptism, in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit as distinct from the New Birth, in speaking with tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance (Acts 2:4), in the gifts of the Spirit, and in the evidence of the fruit of the Spirit. We believe that all of these are available to believers.
We believe in the Christian’s hope and the Rapture of the Church: the soon-coming, personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ.

About Bishop Alan DiDio

FRom Atheist to Encounter

After experiencing a radical spiritual encounter at the age of seventeen, Alan DiDio was born again. This experience instantly transformed him from a dogmatic atheist to a passionate follower of Jesus. Taught in a Word-based church, he learned early on how to stand in faith. Not long after giving his life to Christ, Bishop Alan went off to Bible college and continued serving with a national ministry for twelve years. In fact, he even worked on staff for nearly seven years. During that time, he gained experience in every possible area of ministry ranging from running an international prayer center to traveling across the country spreading the Gospel.

Since then, he’s founded Encounter Ministries in his hometown and taken the Gospel to nations such as Pakistan, China, Israel, Haiti, and Guatemala. He also hosts the Encounter Underground Podcast and Encounter Today on YouTube which reaches tens of thousands of people around the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

In 2022 Bishop Alan was ordained a Bishop and Overseer in City Harvest Network.

Bishop Alan has a wife and two children and considers family to be the most important ministry any believer is called to.
